! A" \: H+ c2 Q- q& n, _' lMy teacher told me I should prepare candies, and many children would come to my home and ask for them. So, I bought many candies from Zellers and Safeway. When I got back home with the candies, my wife told me that there were not enough, so I went to Safeway again and bought more. c( C% g" X& l5 D. D* m: N
My child was shy and didn’t speak much English, so I taught her how to shout “Trick or Treat”. After two days of training, she is perfect at shouting “Trick or Treat” . - q: x. r! Y( o4 f
October 31st is Halloween. I got up very early that day. My wife prepared chicken which I was going to bring to class for a potluck. My child was very happy because she had already been waitingfor this day for a long time.
; n1 _9 s3 y/ ?9 a/ R' ?In the afternoon, we had a potluck in the class. Yuong Sook, a Korean girl, made some sushi which looked very beautiful. Chun Yuan, a Chinese girl, cooked some bouilli which tasted very delicious. Of course my wife cooked the best food because they were all cleared off all gone.4 `. G5 z2 X0 |8 Y- b0 D1 Y) e/ [& ]
After lunch, we had a party in the student center. Many students put make up on their faces and wore some strange clothingcostume. They were singing and dancing there. What a happy day!5 @4 d6 o7 L0 \; J

To my surprise, only three children came to my home, and I was left with many unclaimedcandies. And, one hour later, my child came back with a full bag. “Dad,” She said, “My bag is full. I have many candies now. What an interesting day!”3 o4 z; o$ B! L2 v
“You are right, my child.” I said, “Halloween is the most interesting holiday in Canada, I think.”
