Good news. U of A plan to stop increase tuition for students who are recently in U of A. However, they will increase tuition the current students who will go to U of A next year. Sounds fair. I deeply agree. ) \$ N5 P# f: t( B

Yesterday, the Academic Planning Committee of the General Faculties

news to report from that meeting.

First, the good news. The committee decided to grandfather all current

differential fee. This means that next year, all current international

tuition increase that all students face (the proposal calls for 5.75%). ( d1 d4 R M. i, j& i, b; c
Also, the administration decided to withdraw their motion to increase

Now, the bad news. The motion that the committee approved called for an 9 h) R5 D: q/ n6 T, U; q6 I
increase in the international undergraduate differential from 157% to . L- s1 `" V/ r
220%. This will mean that all new international undergraduate students

The Students' Union will continue to oppose both the increase in the 1 l/ A5 B8 K& z; x2 S3 w
