This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.$ n- ~( t- }& l; x

• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.

• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather

• Adhere to schedules.

; a* w& D! E! m( p) x( H8 m• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).
7 a) ^( H; q4 n6 u1 ^2 b2 f9 [1 T• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.1 S6 S0 m! a( O6 S) t7 _6 {
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.2 c {( C* p5 L7 j+ t' W8 u, m
• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date) ! l7 U w( H2 k" Y& W& [, }( v
showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period. + P8 O5 P: I* l# ?! {
• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill 7 Z# ~+ I% Q& H% T
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).+ I: i) C$ m: f, y$ Y' t+ i$ I$ C* k
• Successful completion of the ETS Training Program.

Various hours of shift work (straight or split shift), any time of the day, any 5 days of the week 6 u, K2 M4 d; x. F
1st year: Guaranteed minimum 67.4 hours bi-weekly: ?" F! @/ w% x, ^4 z& z
Thereafter: Guaranteed minimum 74 hours biweekly, C( R9 l% e# S9 L- }( @; A& J
* Q9 j, B) i; g' Q, F1 Z2 MSALARY RANGE: 401, Salary Grade: 004

Post Training Rate: $20.36 - $25.45 Hourly
