festival.
) Z8 T% [3 S' A3 @8 }+ K1 c: JBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and+ o% ]/ U1 t, e
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft9 C9 }5 a* |* E% q4 }% x) X, q3 w
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.# g. O' e* [! b* s# w, Z" O
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
5 z1 l% l0 I, z. |4 E0 E3 Zartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
; B/ k7 {' y1 vEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
0 ~& {! O7 M& i& ^7 lvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the1 M: J X5 ]2 C6 n/ q H4 {
recyclables.
5 h5 E- E; e0 qFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be/ O1 ]$ v+ `# u: ?4 C+ j J# j
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
2 x* s, Z" U' V! g3 }4 YHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing; B: @, {( F( t
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late: ]4 f& p0 J9 C
hours are part of this crew’s duties.2 O5 v! Y0 u. S! w. u; \1 G. P
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
3 h4 a, V, W% x5 `/ v9 }festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide* F# l2 K) O/ a M% v( M
programs to visitors to the festival.
9 F+ v9 ?- E) GKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
9 J; n _. N( ]everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
+ G) q: h5 f2 T6 U( u x6 pOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed' n+ l. T$ U7 }3 r5 T4 k
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the' f% G' y) x `
festival.
1 o) D7 k% b: V/ y2 A8 _8 M9 A& CSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is9 S5 e6 q) H( m1 K
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you; C) d# A# k- S% \5 {9 @
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.2 I6 D3 u: q1 ~- v
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
$ w$ [) f. [ H* dand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
9 ]# i u8 U( u6 T0 Y6 nTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
2 F( N3 j0 A# f7 [' j2 krequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
$ {& i0 u0 @: Z- \airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival& E+ K( r/ R2 t! q
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
