Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the
festival.
( ]2 c8 D' u% {( V* }Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
* E6 h7 T) c! Xprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
9 T" N+ x) I; [+ H# r5 WChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
& R# _) J4 }7 E9 l! ~8 Q8 Y: _0 ^8 \Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
5 a/ E- A- @( z+ D" rrecyclables.
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
& U+ M4 M; k% l9 w! qpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
& Q, b: ~" ]1 ^# q! c/ i. lHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
6 t  Y% C$ n$ R% m7 uthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
  d9 t2 c  p4 ~2 eInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
- s7 }9 A2 q: g. ~+ Z( efestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
# s- }4 I0 q4 z# n: `' c# @! I2 O! uprograms to visitors to the festival.
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
festival.
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
: P  v9 a6 _% N( S5 W. fare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
& U) e$ m$ P) y4 P" `0 eand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
8 K, }7 k5 A7 W* j2 C5 WTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
! D7 q% W- ]7 n# Q9 G- crequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
2 L2 o1 E  t3 E+ astaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required.

' _- t# O1 H; z  b8 E, \- ]The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival agrees to provide adequate information and
assistance for the volunteer to be able to meet his/her designated requirements.
As a volunteer, I agree:
· To adhere to the festival rules and procedures
/ l5 c2 ~; w* v: L8 u$ ?· To meet the time and duty commitments (5 shifts/min. 20 hrs) scheduled by the coordinator or to
" v; q( P  H3 L3 R# C' g( Jprovide adequate notice of my absence to my coordinator so that alternate arrangements can be
made
· To report to my crew coordinator for my assigned shifts
· To wear my festival name tag and T-shirt while on shift, representing the festival
+ }$ f3 r4 S& g7 L: y/ l  O8 _9 Z9 ~) r! o· To behave in a friendly and courteous manner when dealing with the public and other volunteers
; e8 a# A5 ~" P3 W$ q% l0 b· Not to hold the festival or any of its representatives liable for any loss or damage to my person or
1 M: B; Y+ v8 }: \3 W; G; Jinjury to my property that may occur during festival activities
1 G7 U7 E5 o4 v- H3 {· Any violation of rules, written or oral, may result in termination of my volunteer duties.
