work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft) ]9 F5 |- F% k7 j( `
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.! B6 A6 j# _+ X$ D6 ^! S# b, J2 j
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
% Y5 n% c: J/ jartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
$ j& O9 \' m' ^& f2 A# h, YEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for9 T2 R/ b9 V* H' B9 O$ X, n: h0 a5 Z; ?
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
2 L% U( _% J D; c' |2 [7 L4 C$ o* C, `+ Crecyclables.$ w& x6 f( @2 U4 L" L, _8 r
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be; a0 ?: G+ W8 K# I H/ L
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
/ ^; G7 @# M: B: C% e/ {$ ~Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing+ m# _3 g6 D5 E8 |
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
5 s! Q- D- ^0 I8 N8 `5 ghours are part of this crew’s duties.: l& r! V% U4 r4 _' U
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
4 H% `7 s8 J0 D5 J" D$ _4 zfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide- c+ ], j0 `- ~( h
programs to visitors to the festival.
; J; ^/ s0 b' mKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for6 D6 {4 A/ \0 v% {
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
+ f7 }: M! ?. v- n1 }1 {$ IOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed/ ]# S( i$ J- n
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
; w% a4 ~* ? b6 U8 k; Wfestival.
' v1 J" I! Z! {7 k- g! ESite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
$ e2 s# R' [6 O9 d2 a: poperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you9 |2 z1 v6 [/ m- Z) U. h
are physically fit and ready for any emergency." ^6 K. t9 @, d7 V. a* ?& K
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
# i( q6 }) [+ b, U: D" R n) pand/or understanding of back stage procedures.# }, ~$ d( L3 i2 a# I* b. E+ z
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
& Z6 X! ?7 ?; s9 k. Z& krequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
! g1 }% r5 h$ X3 V6 ^airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
9 [: s4 n( e' z" n( cstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
