Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
+ }% O$ Z; e/ s) s; F5 n$ |& U9 iwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft# H. j' ~$ x+ T( k) ~5 P4 R5 E
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.) E$ g9 S0 a8 d0 [' J1 V; S( A$ w
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
7 M' q2 o+ g& H, ]7 ^artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
7 ~& A/ O( p" bEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for, U$ g) H: v8 A9 t
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the- H: c$ Y1 O0 ]4 N% N
recyclables.- I6 X/ a- l H6 E2 I9 F- N# E
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be( ~: E+ e1 i- w3 f* F: t
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
: ]3 g# e3 i0 B# [& D$ I4 r$ XHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
3 N! e, c' Y3 L9 c+ B8 lthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late' }3 [9 ~- j& J
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
+ d% T1 S$ r- W2 S' aInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
' e: T( T. F9 A9 hfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide1 t! V# ^8 R0 t& w
programs to visitors to the festival.
6 b6 ^7 c3 I+ @Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for/ m( _% D6 }: d: u# k8 a
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.: t, \2 x/ v& J( V+ _8 ]( k1 Y# G
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed/ \( D: y6 M4 c! D" O5 O; a' h, F
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the0 y% b; U* h) E, H( {3 z' u' `
festival.
; ]! {5 P" L* l4 N2 g( {Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is* u& Z, r2 _4 t+ r5 [, c3 O
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you! y0 G( U: S: g( w; I/ [
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
' E; V, [6 X3 r) l; j8 Z8 r& X3 KStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
7 H) g! P8 b+ A, \and/or understanding of back stage procedures.% D; _* d* U; H/ y& K9 l# j
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
1 [; j. q9 }- x' ~) \: mrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
0 _/ Y6 Q" r1 G7 P- s) c0 fairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
- t2 a3 ]5 g; s* P( w$ Jstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
