DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
policies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

; p/ k+ ]" h  _1 p3 Z! pDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
6 Y( C2 J! b- M$ k  G8 z7 [and are University affiliated.

9 v9 Y- {" b& f% B1 A2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.

3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
( S% Z. [# m! s( W* u# n& Pof garbage.
0 @  y# _( G% w
+ R' f% u& H5 z, I. Q4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
consumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

1 ^% X; P1 F2 L) _! @$ F/ A5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
6 z- Q: m* ^+ {" w" }" P( b  narea when required.

. Q4 [' n! j: p( n4 Z+ w* V6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

$ e! v. o" ?! i9 t# Z3 g( F2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
of patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
calmly under extremely stressful conditions.

/ n9 f# U5 F4 `9 o% q3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

4) Must be physically capable.

6 l, i8 h% s- x5 C8 T& b: C, c" H5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
public.

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
