Position Abstract: The Executive Director provides day-to-day management
8 G8 J0 d; u5 e+ v+ o- \- hand leadership of Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! (AYV!). The ED is a) e% R# [! e+ @1 q" b7 _% @
non-voting member and champions youth volunteerism in Alberta. The ED# e2 `& h# j/ D. Y; Q2 F
works within the structures set by the organization's bylaws and

1 _) G- {# {: @6 F8 A3 k2 F$ JPrimary Responsibilities: Helps Board of Directors in developing a
7 z. ?6 P, F; z( n* S% _vision & strategic plan; Establish strong relationships & collaborative
# I3 ], }! p6 M/ Q8 e% ?arrangements with community groups, sponsors, governments, schools,
# i0 ]4 P% I& Vmedia/other stakeholders to achieve the goals of AYV!; Prepare reports0 T/ }& V" Z* l6 |9 Z9 l" f
for the Board; Assist the Board in drafting policies/prepare procedures

PLUS: Ensure good record keeping; Ensure funders' grants are stewarded

the funds of the organization & monitor the monthly cash flow; Ensure

payable; Develop communication/marketing tools to increase awareness of

including a Board of Directors, non-profit organizations, government9 C+ U* p/ r: a& W. O
partners sponsors, employees, volunteers, and youth; Understanding of' x% k5 g9 ]4 k/ r2 w, n
organizational financial management and CRA requirements; Ability to! v7 a! b: I/ M" S A
work in a self-directed work environment; Experience planning and1 d6 l, N3 t3 p% }3 U3 D
