5 u. Z. R" ]1 i3 [! R! M. X4 b1. Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies. 3 r0 _ U' o; L4 A3 c
2. Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China. $ Z+ A; R8 \; g ?. |( n/ l' J
3. Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms. ! d( i0 Y, ]/ B) H+ ?5 a
2 @2 W( w* e9 L! yPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:; g! U3 C# f- f4 b, r
& i9 x; B) J; U# j( R% l
1. MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable.
1 n5 r$ F2 p$ f( B2. Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.
" z( [: Y2 x3 l3. Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous.
/ |3 C! I7 j/ _+ b) H4. Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.2 Y$ |$ l" ?2 C$ M5 H1 t
5. Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.
8 k3 V7 l# b7 c6. Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
