ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

- v6 }! |! ^0 e1 U4 w sThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.$ Q9 d1 w0 a/ Y8 V& t

Qualifications: ) I+ F" X% x( O4 h' D
1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
. O2 c; p2 [3 K0 m( g! E2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.

4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.$ j) r, G- {4 s) g
