ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Salary: $12.00 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Community Initiatives Documenter
8 t- Z& v: P' V9 f4 ?$ x2 V! V* `The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

Qualifications:
3 l! P! B* x; e, o' q* C1.        Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
( p& K5 q; r4 g( v2.        Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
; l% M4 ~- {9 k- r+ p+ |( w3.        Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
# z1 C* C5 Y( V; @, \/ L4.        Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
