9 H" b. C/ _2 s4 Y$ B: eJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
4 W6 |+ s1 P% A1 a0 a$ aBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

1 C' q. z; g1 S0 VDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
. D0 G1 }3 U. q( n' ^; e# morders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
* I1 O& q6 Z/ c: i. S  @; j" yhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
* [" d" q* [) W, V3 W  Q8 o
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
# o* d+ R0 K+ v; Q
$ C4 s& C+ I3 H4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
& i0 h* B' x' l# W) j  Qand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
  m* ]$ p, u7 {, c3 q+ W
, o0 f- y/ K) e4 W5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
( d$ q& G6 H7 v' v& `/ Yaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
! @5 U5 ~6 z, ?( N2 O. S/ ?  _: v2 Vintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
5 j5 S3 C; m( m6 Y6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

. S3 {. i- K# q* T$ GQUALIFICATIONS;
$ J) u* Z! C# u* J$ j; v" y* J. i1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
/ A  V4 W6 c& i
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
+ {. {0 \% C1 m) h0 j- W' `operation.

" f  |" V, B. V3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

8 @  J( j8 A& ]% D9 N4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
4 ?6 G, ]* k4 C5 h2 i+ _  j* ecard transactions.

; }+ A9 d+ A+ R- u1 u( k# ?# y5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
6 k  K0 b' s; E; r" }0 rprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
