! {' |! k, p2 c8 ?& L11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
: f/ ^( Q& t- E' N0 |carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
8 z( U" ^7 y, A$ W; q- xcustomer service and room cleanliness.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
, ?& Z' p# s$ d1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

; L8 W8 q! _! G+ i2 _5 n8 Q2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
; t' A, L! N7 q6 {+ d: h6 @accordance with Students' Union policies.
" O+ S) \* ?7 ]8 z
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
' I. w. i( d# T! o* ^9 c8 T: }/ s  wtotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
( O0 P2 T% `1 D) ~4 L2 J2 ]8 ?* I0 ?( ~
! v  u5 J3 N: o7 j4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
# g6 m( A3 e9 [6 x
5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
! G; @" i' z7 U) g' W: H6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


. C: L8 L4 i& V% }QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
4 [6 x6 R; ]. z0 C
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
7 e% }& C+ S2 P% l; J5 Boperation.

/ c: x( a' T% F" n3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
( e/ ?6 U0 L4 w/ S; ^card transactions.
  h+ V& v) }' @/ X+ \# {
' B" f) a8 @7 K& X* q1 {5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
% T: x: x$ ]% M$ i" G# m+ lprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

9 \" u) a6 B2 zWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
