11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

4 }& h0 L' J$ [4 F* GJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
1 |3 L  I* }0 I* nBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
& l$ J- N4 Z' c) ^3 }carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

/ h; f! C8 U$ n5 Z2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
5 p" I* }9 u: g3 v; X9 {2 Jaccordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
' ^( }1 P$ o1 z' atotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
: b) k5 M, q' Gincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
8 B' H' I& T- P0 X3 land ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
5 \' a0 m3 G) O7 D! T7 Iintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
% [6 X1 _! a9 b: [" PAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.
0 T* ~) B8 F: [0 F( f( a( D+ V
' s; @4 A4 `7 W( H+ L* S7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
1 X: q3 x8 w4 Y; y# `% B) R8 J7 K
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
+ Q8 ^  |0 o+ f' G& roperation.
6 L$ c9 Y  G- g; e4 Q+ x  }: t$ T
; J5 C: s) X$ u2 a! |3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
/ ?3 r1 S: n" l, a3 b" G8 }# j3 Ipolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

1 T9 K* `8 `0 X" L$ jprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
