Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)
  h0 \6 n6 c% {" F1 A
Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
7 }4 U  w2 `5 [2 O- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
! M  F$ x* f6 q; @the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

0 B/ ?5 p5 f/ U, aDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
- `) x1 E9 m1 G$ X" WCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
) ], [' G. a# C& r( S. ~: Ovenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
, `8 v( h' v9 J- J* T/ xtheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
6 T0 v) s& B! s& Z9 fassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
/ ?7 E5 f6 I% M$ [' i; |$ T; svenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
) s  _! w; m! C; V  {, Z# F% fexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
. c: \( b4 y) x5 {excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
% I8 R  d6 d0 j- Y6 Q: Q# _skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
