Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
/ u4 I; e& B2 M0 A# d3 mfor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
; l/ C# |& q! D- G# m0 minclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
9 }! p3 d) a5 l1 E9 n( H5 hcompounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
$ i( d9 r/ p+ A- ]/ kanalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
( e) F! h0 @7 |: i: Gseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
4 q& I) M0 Z) `' x% oof a team essential.
$ _' F0 v9 a0 _2 h- bThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
1 o; k" h' Z5 ^+ F% w0 Cand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
* O2 d; F7 ?% y/ N. @" u3 i' s& Jhope to work in these areas.
