Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

Job description
$ ?8 F' D) y5 u- V6 S, l; G& fStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
6 b) F& P5 y$ q l. Gweekend hours.
( I( L" x4 d) l: r. X9 U+ rYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
2 Q; w8 R. N5 z, G- @* Qlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
9 P+ H% v+ @, r' y$ x) Ocentre.
$ i! E& ~8 O* b' @6 E( q1 T( ]These responsibilities include:
# I# f8 j; R- z, A& a( o0 I2 q0 R4 Y-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.7 k& K/ `* I' x8 K
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
; k+ n+ h! W6 _-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
- ?- w. j4 |2 Jrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
2 }4 R! q, C: U9 H3 _9 Mfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
, O5 U# X' y2 t! a-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ' r! t* V! l5 q6 P/ O; G4 X
clients’ files etc. $ F: x1 y* a% E, X' b
Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
& U4 s! p; i0 Z# ]education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination ) D! P5 ~4 d m7 d, X
of education, training and /or experience. # Y6 ^& [3 y2 {* F& e: ^. q
Knowledge/Technical competencies:: y$ T4 Y4 o- o7 ~$ p
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
% F) S: n+ c/ F T, E-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
0 P# f7 Y7 w. G6 f5 m+ I7 O( \and Excel.
6 @% n$ H5 s4 B( l* V4 s. X-Experience using and updating an information database. 6 Q$ s" G) ?2 H4 ~9 T

-Experience in using MS Access.5 K% I0 |4 Z) C8 q
-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
4 X# W* f, r" Y% Z$ b-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA
