CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

/ e- B; k8 T4 a0 v6 {6 Z· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

8 J6 i# [3 V$ O· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

8 L/ _( u8 C. t( c2 x· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

7 ]% X% g( T. n& q* I1 H/ O! B· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

5 {5 W+ s4 P, G· Minimum 3 years experience
, }! W  W. l- O3 X9 p& R
: Z5 z) R4 D8 L: w5 w+ O· Valid Class 1 license
0 S3 @: o; I2 s, B
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
9 K, v1 r/ {4 h8 `  R/ _/ G4 K, j
6 ?& ^! Z$ b1 t· Load securement certification

* Y1 R% U$ c8 Z9 @, g4 z4 I  V· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

. ~  u' z- P9 Y' G/ O· Excellent organizational and time management skills

+ z+ h( H& e+ c# m) ^/ P; _4 g· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

3 k6 o$ J' z! ?- ~6 Z! _5 r· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
