Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
! m. X/ V/ a7 d0 [; \6 }! }% q* z
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
' n! M% U7 D" k' C" C5 g2 l. f
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
; b9 J# [" @8 m  D
5 A; [  o& P7 w6 @/ W% q$ V4 W- \· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely
+ @! _8 ^0 D, D: }
3 N% m" j: h. ^& H3 M3 j· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
( O( `- w3 e4 |/ Q* jQualifications and Training Requirements

6 T3 A# Y/ x; d# [· Minimum 3 years experience
1 X: j0 J' l. B* O# z. L5 b
6 ~, R$ ], U% t7 v2 f5 S: G8 A/ p· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

  I6 z  P6 w, {; w" R8 Y+ ~9 N· Load securement certification
3 u7 A( P4 F# s# u+ k
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
* s- _3 y6 d/ y' z
· Excellent organizational and time management skills

9 ^! u: E- B' F/ M; L" O+ a! U· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

/ ]: X' \3 H& B2 }7 h7 Y$ k· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
