Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification, Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate, First Aid Certificate, WHMIS, Driver's License
Experience: 3 - 5 years

Major Work Area: Shop fabrication

% @7 v  V% i7 _Areas of Specialization: Sheeting and cladding, Pre-fabricated metal buildings, Custom sheet metal items
Other Material Joining Techniques / Equipment: Lock formers, seamers, groovers, Rivets, screws, bolts, Pop rivets, High speed mechanically applied tech screws, High-tech adhesives and glues
Specific Skills: Determine layout of systems, Measure and mark sheet metal according to template, Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal, Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces, Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification, Set up power equipment, Cut materials using power tools or by hand, Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment
