As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:* X0 x# D" O4 Q+ \- D
: N. Z7 Y' p; k7 Z$ ~: Z% R- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. ) p8 a7 Q& ~- T( g5 c1 a/ {( K- u
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. / `3 C! ^$ m, D! m% M) ^- z
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 6 ~8 D* g3 m+ I! o0 P
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. , a# o8 {9 P* v- g/ k, J8 j
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. - H m4 y. I7 [
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). & y' {% s" t% ]' g
- Managing shift expense budgets. + g6 U0 B* l4 m

Experience and Education Requirements
?% e% l/ i/ w3 W4 i2 N6 q5 K
! s- [& ^: V( u! r7 o- Previous supervisory experience
5 i+ S( I0 d* O& q) d* d0 Q; `8 M- Strong leadership skills
: G! o: F* a7 Y- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
) D! U8 `9 s7 c) K/ a; Q+ q# u, v- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
+ r* Q: O- ~0 X) p2 Q5 `+ V- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
5 w1 [, ^* z2 H- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
