Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
0 W7 v% m. ^" t- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
+ X& B  d$ o8 p% l- Supervise kitchen staff
* ~0 F" g, O6 U* G- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
1 x- a, S! c1 d6 W+ K3 \% F3 }- Manage kitchen operations
- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
% R6 {, Z- @  {- Work night shifts, as necessary
+ Z8 U4 ~5 S* X9 N* ARequirements:
- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
; D9 k' c1 E/ j; g0 P- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
: U5 F1 h1 |4 r: P, A7 G: d5 S- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
* D9 T* N5 [+ k( }( n1 u8 G) oThis is a contract, full-time position.
+ s+ G6 C, b) Z+ l6 J4 JWorking hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
# K" K6 m; m! |" }7 wWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
Location: Simonette Camp (51.5 km west of Fox Creek), Alberta
