Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: 8 i3 ~' t$ x' W7 V! l4 }
"I am going to send it back".
" y" `5 c/ l: r0 v. kI did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:
3 O$ E7 |' H6 _6 v/ b1 q1 G4 ^ "I am sorry, what are you sending back?" , j2 v% ]0 |' F) m
He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." 6 T7 V: B" V- b+ A( e: K. U: E1 T
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?"
/ O! M: M( g: J X"Yes, I did."0 ^& Q+ j' e8 ~1 F5 ]
Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. 3 {4 c7 T6 u" G6 Y
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet. ; T0 U8 `0 \& G4 e% p
"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"" J9 K7 X3 z' ?$ w
"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
; e7 i+ z1 L) w1 A+ oHe took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
' F7 k( ]7 Y" V3 O( GI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:

"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:

He did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."
- z2 ?# x+ ~" @9 s- y. JMy heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
" G4 y$ Z. `$ j( NHe did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. : P i* ^9 B5 O* ~2 ]/ e
