Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
! X3 y7 @$ s; g' Q0 g* o/ ZModify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
9 ?4 B4 y1 X% ZEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
5 z$ i  M% J$ e! m2 BSupervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
. W  f1 U- T" A3 i$ X# DPerform administrative duties
# U9 n" ]9 S. Z, q7 wComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Proven working experience as a head chef

Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently

Communication and leadership skills
6 p' G. _/ T+ ~, d: QKeep up with cooking trends and best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
