Job Description:

Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
) k  L/ l7 o2 Y# i/ y" ^Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
- L" r* e9 Q( d) _" f& @Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
& H9 `( g7 f2 i# R2 B/ HRecruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
# d' g* f% _  u' L& qGive prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
$ o7 ^/ N, t. F2 [0 Y! UMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Excellent record of kitchen management

Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
' ~8 p4 P7 J* [% a& ^% DWorking knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
