No one was injured after a brush fire tore through a section of Edmonton's river valley on Friday night.7 b: v) G3 ], e$ j8 C- i
The fire started around 11 p.m. near the Wolf Willow and Rio Terrace neighbourhoods in the west end of the city.
2 m+ U0 E( r0 M3 qEdmonton Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sarah Meffen said 17 fire trucks were called to fight the fire. It was declared under control at 1:20 a.m., and was officially out at 3:20 a.m.
5 K3 I6 A4 i; B) V5 iThe fire covered a large area of the ravine, Meffen said, but none of the nearby homes were evacuated.
