We are currently seeking detail oriented person based in Edmonton to fill the role of Junior Accountant.

DUTIES:/ }9 F) M, f/ J
! @$ n( F! A, Q3 ]8 n• Answering to the Company Controller, the candidate will assist with invoicing, payables, cash receipts and disbursements, account reconciliation, and G/L entries.
" ?" y3 P; e" h _/ o- F' U• Candidate will also be responsible for filing, verifying vendor invoices, and various reporting tasks as required.
4 ?% k- V2 o& W+ x! [• Candidate will communicate between various departments, including sales, logistics and production to ensure that operations are running as cost-effectively as possible

• Minimum 1-year of experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable/Payable role( Z( W9 I, Z, e8 R% P8 O0 ^
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in an Accounting or Finance related field of study
1 q$ O; o c0 ?: w. P6 u, H! r2 R• Aggressive self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills
! g2 }+ s8 j9 b7 @7 i, |8 ? w• Must be highly detail oriented with strong grasp of numbers
\4 g$ C" D$ ^4 o& |• Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, data entry)
