each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably coifed and

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.
' p! }" N( [8 [, G" FAfter many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home,
2 {" [2 ~' ^, c% Dhe smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. * W9 M* z z e
$ y! f* P9 s! xAs he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual 0 E! K! L# R* h0 V2 y9 K
description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been & B. t& P: p% M3 t8 I/ \7 r9 U& B
hung on his window.

$ y+ A+ v4 e3 J/ l% ^, M2 X! n2 E"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having ; q" Q. P7 u9 i" ]9 [
just been presented with a new puppy.

"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how

I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I
( A L0 b1 L0 l; M# Y! O; {2 Qhave with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new 8 \; t( K& z8 Y% {) H. n
day and all the happy memories I've stored away.

Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.

So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank
