收到了一张1月2号法院的信，叫joror summons：you are hereby summoned to attend the court of queen's bench of alberta for jury selection at the .......
  \+ \* q% I+ J9 K要求收到信的5天之内寄回去，说是必须参加，否则就要被罚款或者坐牢~

On occasion a name may be selected of a citizen who has either moved or is deceased, usually when a change in personal information has not been updated with Alberta Registries. An online questionnaire is available to determine your eligibility for jury duty.

Don't worry if you don't want to attend, you can tell them you don't understand English very well. Then you can be free.

如果想不去的话可以不去的，回信说英语是second language法庭上面会听不懂就可以了

Don't worry. If you have a valid reason, you don't have to go. I had this letter before. I didn't go because I was working and studying full time. I just wrote the reason and attached my tuition fee payment receipt, then mail the letter back. They will mail you a letter to inform their final decision.

加拿大陪审团很少在民事诉讼用到，这应该是个大案子啊，楼主可以去看看然后告诉我们一下。

不建议去，因为这信不是告诉你选上陪审团的成员了，你只是被抽中陪审团候选人。去了还要经过筛选必须通过控诉双方律师同意才能进入court.而且公司对于这种请假也不一定付钱。如果真是好奇没事闲的可以去看看

我也收到了 不过英文不好 回信表明原因了

我老公也收到过，不是公民，他拿了信去单位都请假好了。
结果又来封信，说上次搞错了，其实不需要他去滴，晕！
