Job Description:         

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

7 Y% Q" C( l( Y• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

1 B  _3 A9 q" R• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

+ i: {) d) P2 |: Z7 Y9 C1 Q4 ?• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

' p4 Z, N* Y7 I* d) \  I* }& S• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

5 k9 A/ t* m7 s1 `+ D, J& i• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

+ R7 o/ T$ f( I  G' u# o• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

1 b0 u. b: m( ^! l• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

7 o4 _6 S. `" C% O% }1 O, \• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Standby, overtime and shift work is required.

• Ability to travel and work at various sites as required.

7 l, s8 \& T8 M3 ], a# S-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
