Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:

% [8 _1 ^+ Z/ c5 Z9 L+ H• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 
6 d- g+ B7 [) f% ?3 j2 p2 [8 C1 H F5 W
• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

( _/ h @8 r! z• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year. T. d- A. n" _1 s1 k

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.3 K8 u+ `* U2 V( Q

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.1 _% N w4 ?' s# I$ j

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

! Z- C$ t$ w4 C, `4 q• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

* G! f1 x, B. W# f8 i/ P" `6 `• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.9 ~3 s- k- N" U4 x

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

5 w; D5 H7 H( p L• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.
/ w, q% N: a8 T+ [ d) v7 O" \: y9 y+ a
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

" `$ Q; v( s) L# Z6 P7 P• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
# J* v1 x, I0 Y# M6 Q2 N
• Travel within the assigned region.
