Job Description:

•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.( N! k8 s6 x& }* X8 C
•        Oversee hotel security requirements. ) _' A: u( y/ J: m! ~# p; ]& d
•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.
, K, f3 N3 D" Z+ @) |5 `! J•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
+ Q$ [1 E4 {7 b•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
* o( k  N: |8 h+ m•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.
* s7 F0 ^" m) T2 E7 g$ S•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.; S# y! ~+ q& D7 o/ ]- {0 [
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.
. V8 v% e: P! i: y( W7 f•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff. 2 w$ h/ [. H2 @9 F
•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term. $ X' C$ D* Y) ^+ \6 m- O
•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed. 2 S  B$ I1 C3 l
•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service. 1 K4 K3 K* `( w8 V
•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.$ q' W. S8 P( b
•        Attend Cluster meetings.
& j9 [+ p8 u, D! `- w! k$ h  ^, c•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.
; |3 ?# h/ [! y; l•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department 2 z0 H% c4 `9 D- p: D7 ^. ~2 s
•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies
0 b3 s3 H5 [) |( ]•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center
: m7 g3 T8 O2 y. q7 r•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float - @; i: k' q$ Y+ Y' Y/ N3 K. T. W
•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager

•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property
  i+ V4 T0 {3 ]" \• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;) f. D! _3 s0 _* B9 J
• Ability to lead and develop;# U2 `* z6 H/ y+ }& K+ R# q
• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;
( l$ {- G: d& }" K9 V; |• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;7 B) c7 z- U6 D
• Ability to work within deadlines;% T4 d! |, K6 x/ M
• High level of creativity and innovation;
6 `) W, o! H8 D. r9 `" V+ E• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;
) `; j# R0 ]% Y( M; N0 e• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
