Compensation: $37.00/h in BC, $34.50/h in SK

! m2 c4 J# R. f# v4 I- t; CResponsibilities and Tasks


! s* I+ u, j9 u/ |-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
4 \9 Z8 `1 M* Z1 }/ G" g-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
# @6 A. e! \0 e0 B; ^0 N5 Z( W-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
( M% E% l. D' A- m' @! {/ c-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
) ~  H( Y, f; E4 n-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
. s& U( H$ T, \& f" F-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
2 O+ V7 j5 a' @+ \-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset

-        Completion of a four year apprenticeship program
-        A minimum of 5 years’ work experience as an industrial Electrician
-        Trade certification in Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Red Seal
-        Basic English communication skills
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
