Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
0 R4 w0 o/ T# V7 f& ~- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements2 D( J& _' W3 q8 Y* W* |; L$ P
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
; s* X0 W' q# C# z: M- Select type and size of pipe required/ i* p! p: y" A3 p+ s
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
) r5 b7 H" p. c0 f- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system! y, l" N& ]) U9 m; ~. ^( q& G
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems0 a) u/ g7 n S3 Y3 ^( F. S
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment5 g' C A- f0 y& W# {/ \
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system# y$ k% e$ M" n) O( E* c; ~" n: s7 r5 b
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
& u X! N; n6 W/ l3 M9 w9 {6 p- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program) n a/ e% m; b+ c4 l9 {
- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business6 P1 w1 M) G0 m* k: N4 h* B) n

Required Qualifications6 f# {0 N* N# @: Y- m3 Y2 v3 \* O

- Completion of secondary school
0 ^9 w" I1 j, O# |/ d: Y) n- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
. G+ X `" j. X9 J& L- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals: a- i7 B( k. ?
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence- F0 b5 z y7 I0 M" @. r* M
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
! o) a$ e& Q2 ?- Safety tickets are considered an asset

- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
