Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.3 |6 P L( W* m. L: w

Responsibilities and Tasks3 ?, i6 @$ y+ @0 N6 Z! J
! l' J! q9 W3 T- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
3 V& k' L3 w2 a6 W5 W1 r+ J2 R5 p- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
0 y' }( g. O1 W- V7 r! H3 O+ m6 u- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
/ s8 o, [6 E' N1 v; ^0 m; k- Select type and size of pipe required9 ]0 h" k6 D/ N1 l) k3 A+ R' X) A
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
, C: }9 H# Q" {+ e- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
& h: ~# I. e- i6 b' U- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
( t) u& L& Z! F3 p* P7 [6 z- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
! Q; _' P; L0 w" z; Z/ J- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system9 E" |7 }% g) M9 J1 N) X& p# M
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system! F! ?" T I! o3 w3 t. V
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

Required Qualifications
2 {. s+ R& @) G! l; \! j* a7 ~' o0 }3 w
- Completion of secondary school
- q" \; w) T3 e" L% G/ K8 g, l- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation 9 }7 d9 O" G; P
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
0 `) c: i$ A/ a8 U7 M- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence7 \* x6 Y- K- q/ l+ J8 U& e7 N
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset/ k; l! [( n" x' b3 R: b# q* r/ p
- Safety tickets are considered an asset. v6 s2 _ y7 [# H8 J: f
- Valid drivers’ license is an asset2 M) Y" ^* Z# s$ R ^# c
- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset! z, J/ d- }' {' g2 N/ y
