; V1 b; `5 {8 F' L" `* lLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.


- J0 I, {/ y+ w1 pResponsibilities and Tasks
* h$ n- _5 ^6 S6 w
7 S/ U$ u9 P) L/ m; D* y4 L* O2 n-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
7 z# K4 ^: {$ {/ v, R/ `7 ~-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
; y# I6 S! t0 `2 F-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
, G7 Z$ |" G2 d8 W$ T. p-        Select type and size of pipe required
1 d/ n: D) x5 \$ N! B4 B9 B' _; K-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
" v, g' ~7 a9 _; ^-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
# y' f  C5 C9 D5 y-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
4 e+ p' K* B8 N+ ?, Y2 b! a& `& k
5 o( E) ]% R% N* s4 k- P7 Q-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
$ K, ~" M3 ^6 g( v* x9 V4 k-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
! T$ E" B9 e( M6 Z# T-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
