- W( a0 v2 ?& V: V9 q& @Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks3 B+ B/ y0 p5 ~% x4 `) d- V
$ ~& Z+ F( l9 C5 v
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment , J4 Q8 G O) b2 `: K- P& q
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements; w. |7 ~- \7 W1 d
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
7 v" {! |/ b5 @4 C! v$ o- Select type and size of pipe required
7 @5 x& C5 h0 b \4 \- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
3 i9 B, ?; E$ j' g- P2 \7 ~- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system" A! O8 o! D& j' a$ Z
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
) H; p( k* \4 ]0 R1 Y, y9 g. @1 T- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
( z( M& `8 E* ^- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system" k5 K7 b$ Z2 ~' R& r9 o
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system( a% c+ `& C7 k+ {# ?6 N( O3 S% g6 a
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
+ @8 c# h% z( i( E/ H7 q- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications( a& Q& \) n) {4 N$ H
+ n+ J7 F, x6 B4 ^0 d. n* R
- Completion of secondary school' i/ B1 B* k) U; u7 u
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
+ M$ [4 e: g5 C, _- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals! y* f- [8 F# c% T% |
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; u& [* u$ i& Q/ r4 @- |4 f
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
/ G/ R; `* I; ^) [# d2 d- Safety tickets are considered an asset& [! O$ D5 W; d% i3 F- v
- Valid drivers’ license is an asset
+ q. b2 T3 H3 f" U+ p& P- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
