Fishery restriction on Red Deer River and tributaries

; X3 _/ R* p7 [3 C, T! Y; J, uThis email is to inform anglers that starting August 7,  2012, fishing upstream of Dickson Dam on the Red Deer River and its tributaries will be restricted to catch-and-release only for the remainder of the season.

A zero harvest restriction is in place as a precautionary measure, as government experts will be conducting a population sampling program to determine if there were any impacts to fish stocks in the waterways as a result of a pipeline spill in early June.

Anglers will not be allowed to harvest fish upstream of the Dickson Dam, including Gleniffer Reservoir and Dickson Trout Pond. The area includes the main-stem of the Red Deer River from Gleniffer Lake to the Banff National Park boundary, and all flowing tributary waters.

& e9 u* S2 J6 H  ?+ TAngler harvest in the affected area is still permitted in Burnstick Lake and in the following stocked trout lakes and ponds:
• Beaver Lake,
• Dormer Lake,
• Eagle Lake,
" O2 k8 O% I$ `0 X: N/ s6 @• Birch Lake, and
1 O; g' Z& K( Z2 D  _$ \• Yellowhead Lake.

& A! z: C' f1 S1 gSpecific regulations still apply, which can be found in the Alberta 2012 Sportfishing Regulations.

前两天的新闻说哪个湖里很多死鱼，有人在那里游泳都感染了

这是我们今天早上去那里拍的照片，似乎是管道漏油引起的，河里有几处隔离带。

旁边这个湖以前钓鱼的人很多，我们5约和6月去了两次，钓了不少鱼，湖里有一个渔证5条限额的彩虹鱼，还有没有限额的草鱼。受附近环境污染的影响，这湖从8约7号开始只能钓到鱼就放掉了，严禁拿任何鱼。
