Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)
9 V+ l  ]6 a/ ]+ |9 kAnticipated Start Date: The candidate is required to work immediately

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.   h5 R* @. n; d2 M, O9 o) \0 R

0 a6 Z9 D$ d- @Key Responsibilities:) C. R4 J: V1 l9 ^" K% o1 r
•        Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person! f- W% q0 ]9 @- t6 n; P5 Q: W0 i$ M
•        Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
1 D- x" V0 T8 X4 D. H7 M* ?$ Z, W( s•        Welcome clients and direct them appropriately1 C" a- T/ g  T, E! G. E
•        Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: Z! k( {, ]! p1 F4 N
•        Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
  B' q6 z( W3 i9 Z3 G* W& \•        Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
. q% i% x- d  e4 r•        Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
% V2 Z$ S5 g. W3 E: g9 s•        Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events# P* }6 R, F& C3 }" _% f# F
•        Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; w' v" i) Q5 J" d•        Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
1 @/ Z4 @& W9 e* j! D9 _) h•        Maintain front counter service files+ v/ e, d& F7 m3 k* T
•        Perform general office duties as assigned0 C- q" c8 `# T2 U  G
•        Report to ISP Program Manager6 ?4 Q- E( Q2 E* N  p( Y0 p

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:, \4 v% q! ?. C  F& k( M
•        Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person, E. R) u! z6 b9 z2 K; M& }( Z$ h' c
•        Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset8 ~& t0 C. i  @" p% G+ u
•        Good English writing and oral communication skills
1 _% \( x! o  e' `0 G0 O/ D$ ^•        Ability to work with newcomers and general clients0 ?) U! o9 r% E8 e
•        Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
0 |( Q9 L7 c1 }( W•        Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
0 u. r! Y( V8 J1 W, J0 {/ i" F•        Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds! }$ L9 M  g6 L
•        Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment
. A& e5 @4 I* h2 y, ~( m9 d) t•        Knowledge of immigrant services
, i8 L, ]& O  t. ~( V" K% t& F4 s5 [, g
Qualifications:  D/ u- U* `# @- p; M9 t
•        2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) b# Y" t8 Y7 J7 ^7 C4 ]•        Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment) _1 C- _8 g) d' i& e
•        Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
0 Y. d; M9 o  I2 g5 l% e. E•        Ability to work well under minimal supervision# T( ]3 ^3 l. [, `
