Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:9 }* Y$ d W; ?0 \6 L
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
: Y2 f( G: j. E3 J• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! w: i" _; z2 B
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately1 ^; H, \+ `/ p% G7 j
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( n# o4 f8 t8 J' x" t1 |( o
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents$ y, f( ^) j% }, J
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
/ D2 M- H0 C( A: \• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
# J/ O2 a! v+ D- N6 P• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
5 M6 B" {1 h0 a! s• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 i; @0 h# F* E2 B• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
& U0 ?$ p. U0 m; s, n1 B• Good English writing and oral communication skills
7 S/ X& p1 \% k ]• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& Y% i$ a* C! Z- } O$ b$ l, D( Q• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
/ Z; C' q7 \/ ] G, ?3 y• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:
. q- w# ]/ ]' l# o6 x% g2 w• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
5 z& m' ?5 V3 j1 z+ {. R% z& b• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment0 M8 {# O# I1 Z8 A" V
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism8 ^! \7 i; H/ Y
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision: _) q q! @% n, H6 b
