Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

/ b% A u# v2 O2 }9 GPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 y& s @3 u2 G3 |1 R: b3 C

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person0 A! B6 m) W# F( u* e
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
$ K3 y3 D, @* O9 ^, L• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately) `1 Z7 K# G! w) B1 n% a4 u' U' h, i
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
q) F c7 Y, a' l F |' a' g) ?. t; D2 P• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
2 \# O$ }5 \1 }) N, T4 F• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# c( N; `: I# Q2 m' _
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events( ~4 ~( J" t2 X; g1 `5 ], t. K
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events, w( O/ r4 Q# J3 ], r- A2 C+ G! b
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
$ M" p) Y: e& [0 W1 q• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters$ {9 S( x5 O" O# L
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
/ A6 w5 [3 ~& q" Q- f• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person/ g6 l }) w3 X' J, s
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 I5 h( o# j Z/ a/ k( ?• Good English writing and oral communication skills
6 J& E8 T" b- u: r9 r7 r/ K" R• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients8 {. o+ J& d3 o$ g% K" S
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook# G' ]/ t. @2 D2 w4 I9 ?
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
' S6 K+ ~% J r• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:! v: ]7 B6 C, U* ^
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
. I! P! \4 R8 y( h6 b0 j. Z• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& I- w# q, T& v/ W3 C3 D; I0 G
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
. a; q$ h6 K' G* t4 g% r1 D• Ability to work well under minimal supervision) k5 Z \6 Y- {4 N6 g5 t5 A
