- c( g# ?" i7 c! n' x- submit information for community news 9 v; |3 T* I# Z6 s* @
- provide volunteers to update membership database: P X$ K/ @. @# s+ D4 J; p
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers+ C1 w% K3 c+ U! ~6 C4 G
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
) |/ O. v0 n( ~# ]7 S- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties1 c" D! ~( b6 j: z5 b
- provide volunteers for various programs
5 v8 C, ]( r/ |, k9 e3 ^6 B- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual# b1 A [' G) a6 j
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation4 U: ^- ^; G! m4 U6 z% W
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
* ]8 Z+ c d1 U5 ~- \0 a- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services- ~: G1 P9 z+ [0 W7 k8 J
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
) b. O9 H/ N1 J+ L/ t- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
: w1 f* V% @8 p) l4 m6 V- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed y1 k: d4 l8 ]1 @6 u1 I
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)6 f* p! q$ V6 |' e0 [
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

+ m: V0 j1 [* Z) Q8 v5 i8 Y- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ' G5 A& N1 b1 I/ X1 a4 Z7 m
- evaluations

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
( R5 g/ f1 M, }0 |- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' x, N. Z: @7 B3 Z" X
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
" |0 L5 ?( h2 m- L4 x& r5 b3 Y# Y- leadership skills
! Z! m3 S }* o0 G! I) F- management and supervision skills) p$ F% ?% V' @9 @! r
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills. |' x& I2 s) ^" F
