- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
. Q3 V* d" ]% |( J- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
. Y* p0 g$ k2 t6 h: ~- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
& v8 ^, ~* N8 K# d! h! |( x k- provide volunteers for various programs
2 q4 U' e2 c; U& ]; O( H h O- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual3 f3 ~' o/ r* k9 I/ j$ G5 W
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
; x' J2 ^5 O7 a- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
; g. R+ F. V' u; @" f z- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services% e1 ~' ]3 d2 `
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
5 J2 M( k$ [0 r1 ^- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ) g6 l' T2 V H
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
+ n$ I9 _0 Y. a3 A- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 3 Y/ X. q" _# K3 C% o
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers , W; L% ~! h: h+ J) z
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis * s+ d! K* d: y# w
- evaluations

Qualifications& W4 J% m& C( ?6 D; q3 o) q0 [7 X
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education, N: V# J8 u5 \
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills+ T; Q; a5 x: e' b7 v
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services+ Q8 L1 t9 @" d& P" X
- leadership skills6 p4 c7 F$ d* G$ B
- management and supervision skills
