Key Responsibilities4 w& A. D& X- e: n4 d% P& ]
- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community- g( X' z& Z" h! T- w2 d6 [, c
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services, p$ n ~1 c1 k& d6 u
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
( h7 j7 A- N0 _3 r4 @$ G- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
9 l, c# x7 N9 w( [1 v/ \# l* m7 N* g- coordinate good will activities. [3 D3 G' q: J; |& B+ B: J
- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members7 j0 v0 U/ U) [/ ]1 _( x
- submit information for community news
7 ^2 u& |- A$ m- prepare and send AGM information to members/ f+ }- n* G c. K) M/ z: z
- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.
, i- R6 {1 q p& c- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities) C7 W: `& M/ H
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist in writing proposal for ISP

- C* ~ D, J5 h- explore new ideas for ISP
* Y! p9 F D# `1 Y# z- hold regular meetings with ISP team
- w+ n* R! p& A/ }2 s% ?1 r- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time% L: a. M) s: R' f$ }# v
- update membership database
% n0 V- j5 T9 m0 j) u4 t0 o- coordinate good will activities$ A# v6 ~/ h4 p7 f. Q
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications. d8 R0 T7 C( k# ]! }# {# d3 f8 `
- degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
8 `% U2 f( a1 D2 Y& u- good oral and written Chinese and English skills! a9 Z4 q+ ~5 s0 V8 M7 U* n* G {. l; T
- experience in community work and immigrant services( J7 J) {5 f6 `6 \% Y- e" v, G
- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars
/ A$ f8 D' [9 Z- leadership skills B* P, j9 I/ \7 B( d9 h. M
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, P1 M' s5 b' T+ e
- sense of humor
