Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. Key Responsibilities:& d# @0 r& a4 {( _
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
$ F" b1 w8 H) M+ ^' u• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
9 o4 O. c s; y# N5 F! A• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 G3 ?4 C' s' Y8 M( E, n
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter$ X! S3 l) o0 }. C K: S. i
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents! J* n& n5 V x" q9 E* P9 f8 `' c; {
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
3 v% i& c5 V+ t% i5 ^8 T7 ?9 j• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
% z, v. L2 ^% ]6 m$ D+ o* j" E• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events& j" ]/ l4 x3 ^8 O
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean' O6 F# F4 M8 K4 y
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters! D' ^- k! |& Z' n4 l) t0 q$ e
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:) ]* q* O4 m# J, |
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person$ } ?( i( J( {! D9 O. o
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
, s, s( {/ n. o L# \9 o• Good English writing and oral communication skills
/ Q1 A! B& j$ K7 S+ ^; b• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients" y3 h' q* k3 o) H7 c5 \
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
; v6 f* e, B% p; E5 \& j* ?6 g- h• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 y& n8 z- O. i# O• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
; `5 m9 L* s3 f( c* o8 U5 W1 y• Ability to work well under minimal supervision8 _+ [% r6 o% f0 V: h
