Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
$ x2 z* u) x. E: |- n; `# |5 X• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person0 u9 M! c* W+ s g6 }3 K$ Y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 w& N$ J M2 ]* C
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately# B5 d1 ^8 ~9 ~4 A, [0 Q, ?
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
4 j) l7 c& C$ w+ ?6 r' a$ y2 w* a• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents! a5 H6 q: y+ C0 D5 M
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker; E; a& l2 m# F; T: H
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
, |: Q1 u8 f8 Y, Z• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters; D9 v8 S3 }: J$ g7 z. K; L P* A
• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person& _! H8 {+ J2 S! S% U
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

! k* O# b9 T U• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:
1 f D8 Z% h3 v( z* J9 f• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience * ~ T7 S2 S; m& M
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
% ~% M! W4 J+ g* f3 q• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
4 t7 h T$ b( t8 u9 v+ M• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
