/ Y/ y, h8 s' e, G. J$ V-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
0 A" h" G  Z6 b! F+ Ttechnology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
" U) x6 X' M2 B1 X/ h-        Participate in peer reviews;
  ?+ d! o9 ?# T( f, T$ e-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
" y4 v& C3 F  y8 _) S. kdepartment’s change management processes;
4 b+ r. _7 K( S-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
7 X: {, r5 q) q9 @+ l-        Lead short term projects;
7 O4 s; d: q( o! K! ]-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
/ e! `9 G7 O5 E; L* m1 r2 S-        Excellent written communication skills;
' A  o+ C$ K; w-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
$ ]1 J9 k' k( _6 Feffective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
  N1 X8 F1 b% u(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
+ ]/ c1 P5 `2 ]. F+ w5 Tfor incorporating new technology.
) V6 }2 v# g9 H
6 }8 {5 V! u0 X' T, ~" r4 a' n(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

1 [7 K" [6 R! O/ ]) P" M0 s1 X# V(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

- [5 T' E6 D- R+ a9 O% v(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

0 X& r  e9 P  Z" S. y8 q* c(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

* n. Y+ T' ]! ^4 F3 ~(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
0 r8 l# R5 h/ W9 |- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
  {2 z0 l+ v+ o, P7 {- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
