Job Description:
$ I- c2 G# `+ l4 p+ b9 S0 l•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
; X5 H6 f9 q5 z•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
% Z0 o6 f$ E% T# |( g•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
! S2 r# Y, m! |' M) G7 _" y•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
5 w" \, i6 Q( q•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
3 c: b. E5 N  Y2 S/ u•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
- N; a" G/ L) _$ D- M0 x3 m+ E" Z•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
5 V8 Y, ?, E$ C% ~Education and Experience Requirements:
" {* Y! }5 k( ?2 d8 J' Z7 }' i•        Completion of secondary school is required
•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
+ \& }. t) u. s& p6 W1 F/ m( }or
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
% F) v. c& e2 R, a8 z3 l( D•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
