Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
/ B+ \# `% w7 ^2 h  q; f+ N4 M•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
! u% u3 F& @' v7 G: `o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
% R" t+ v% K, u* d' c•        Assist where needed in application questions.
( N: X, p1 |0 }# u( n5 e•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
/ _% v. b/ r# H: B1 ao        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
- a0 q2 Y' N9 E4 }, |8 q4 f•        Track and report all warranty failures
. w4 Y; z# i6 Oo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
, u9 x' p9 e  lo        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
' l  j5 i$ P; N•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

8 \( n* F) i: b; y. [5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
2 G; V3 _; W3 f2 s•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
& I. b! e# S; D. \  G•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
( M. m  t" `: D% Y# B- I•        Proficient in software use and writing.
4 l9 {  a+ W  D. e•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
•        Ability to travel worldwide.
