Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker6 U$ t2 N- L6 L4 R8 z3 h& Q

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 0 u+ M, ^/ p; X: {, v5 ^

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person$ ?5 A3 g f. l' G1 U* u6 _
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST6 Y- o4 q& k, r1 j% ?6 J
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
. ~4 K$ V+ Q3 g: \/ |; d• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ z& J8 ?) s) B8 a) ?& x# q• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
$ X; P' s4 R& k0 v• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents. }. d9 l: p% Q5 n
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
& f3 u6 n" x5 O- Q9 {6 Q5 m• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
, q$ X9 ?0 X5 ^' B• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events1 ~8 Y( d. d% l: T
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean9 E0 c. z4 {/ B# R
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
0 A3 ^6 U+ v8 T• Maintain front counter service files

" g4 R* R. k( V- S: e& O( d0 @• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person V, q) W0 ^- R! [* Q* G3 \
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset7 c' X/ ?8 S# L, ]6 @: m# [4 O. X
• Good English writing and oral communication skills, ~$ a- T& T: L: h- A+ b
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
$ t* }$ z. u2 s% }" u9 K7 B• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

2 o+ {1 _1 V4 G' Z G! q* u• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ( J& o, ]4 t: w4 y9 D" U
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- i# Y1 d! Z4 V" `, F G" x• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism {! q+ D9 N( m, I" Y1 A/ S
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision6 ?7 L0 }( c. i9 J3 P
