Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ) e% u( w9 A* q1 q: O: V

Key Responsibilities:
/ a6 P, c8 w( z1 |2 M7 t• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person/ }# u. m- }1 b! B
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST3 O% f5 p: g: P8 l4 A- K' }" }0 O
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately) h, w3 C' c& J; p. ^( ^
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
3 n3 n4 M$ i9 E8 k- c0 a- ~• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
, q/ x# h0 m p. U! ?0 x2 O• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
6 i4 W: o( k+ ?. f0 ^( |9 t; Z( n0 I• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

& n* x* T. v6 E: U• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

/ g8 x/ u& \0 Y• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person; y; r( a/ s7 E! {4 S4 [& K
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' x! P) e% W- d
• Good English writing and oral communication skills& Q+ L' a5 w/ K! V; R% ]9 y& E. {
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients# R! k* j- A/ Y8 H7 W
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds) ~. l8 v0 D6 O- a# u; G! P: s
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment; r9 j6 h8 t. S: h8 q
• Knowledge of immigrant services3 A& B4 }& F. _$ m) @ C$ O, c3 S
Qualifications:7 Q" h. k2 Z- O' }
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience U9 R# V# c0 n' T& T5 I
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 }1 N' e6 R" E" {$ w2 E) K• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
9 R. ?8 D9 t: E* j• Ability to work well under minimal supervision# T/ C1 h% E+ e
