Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
! V7 t3 ~. p f% }6 {, J• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
0 x* k. D: I) `7 v• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
% x7 K0 R: \/ V: j7 s) i• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 A/ s. Z) y: P: ], D• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
" T8 z9 m! h0 Y r0 R• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings& _# b3 p1 }$ j' V
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
, O* f; b$ R) ]2 P+ Y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
. I( R/ v w* b* N" f4 W+ b: p9 U• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters- t& x8 U! n5 d) U; P
• Maintain front counter service files/ `& t& \& R, `4 s
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
4 X/ Z% E0 F+ z1 O• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
/ ^7 R( F1 ~5 g. L9 v1 B+ P- c- A' _• Good English writing and oral communication skills
7 A1 y: F) [$ j2 b• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
% M1 M( k4 }" W' R• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services

5 F$ y7 u& f& z+ L( ?2 n/ g3 D5 ^• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 l0 T$ `' S4 F7 z: s
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
* [& k- f% q+ G• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism8 d( u1 C, Z+ h
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision/ m7 o( O3 N# k/ u5 D
