K$ k% y# [Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 7 Q9 L; r1 ]" U1 U. _

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person$ v& M C/ `% X
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; s# w% O# z- L# Q* E
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 g3 C. O1 y1 Z4 C& w0 K
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter! Z8 R9 ? `) A! b, v' x
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
9 `% O# R6 i3 E0 b/ i2 e• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents% M* N1 r: g7 w2 {" Q$ G' p, |3 \) ~
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker' W; Y; m$ m l( @, {, O
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; A; R# y8 {7 V' z/ Z0 r$ |6 j$ o
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
/ y: f3 g" W* S& b1 E• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
& S. x- l ?4 H; z% I! n6 d• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. O/ N$ O, a' \; E' H
• Maintain front counter service files! E# q* D6 b+ L5 C) M: M
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:6 N; I9 T) Q# ~# ~
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 X8 `6 a, n" M! j+ D* W
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 k( X# G" T( R! Z• Good English writing and oral communication skills1 r3 b. {# t; L4 @$ E7 \( i
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
- r" x9 V% \+ H• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook1 a7 }6 J% W4 @- Q9 w
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment5 _! V! q, F# q, A
• Knowledge of immigrant services! ]4 C9 y. N$ L
Qualifications:
% v- x n$ _$ k. V# q; A% X+ E• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
! K+ |. Q8 g; z; ^• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment) g6 C/ L% M' H9 V8 r6 Z
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism- ]/ M3 N2 g, h
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
