Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker: U E. x. v- ^: ^+ ?

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 N+ }2 n3 Z( k3 v9 J

3 K$ x/ t; n4 n* J' ? H• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
. X5 M. A6 ?8 k' D6 P3 t# q$ M. p• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
- t9 y; W" @& A• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately7 q# w6 G" u! f
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter% D! Z8 m- U( a8 a1 v$ K
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings6 I4 b7 F" q, u" T8 d& g R/ o0 x
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
1 E5 s0 A0 J# }$ V* H( ] s• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker& B7 L) c* J! _1 j3 E/ p
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
: \/ M6 n& p3 |' L! w• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
& u1 @ R, [9 s7 E) ~• Keep the reception area tidy and clean- j! M8 e9 Z/ n7 N
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters# A$ R6 V$ y w! x( W4 q* {
• Maintain front counter service files. F- X& p) J4 x: S8 B2 Y, M
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
, x& c9 c( s5 I2 f6 V# M• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person) b! `" C% G3 [& @& S
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
3 D$ O& j. e! l; t9 v# r• Good English writing and oral communication skills; g. W$ [8 [: _: p
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients4 f" S2 X( Z) R, f
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
, c2 U) p$ C% F• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
) I u4 C! Q% _% y• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 r# ~. H. o$ k6 {$ c
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment. m9 b" S1 p2 L* I3 i) y
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism0 h# u' f1 ^$ W' s# h% A
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision- y$ g$ }* P% q% ~- t$ S
