1. It's cool:cool
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
j# @: |) T. a" R# t& d# x, _1 T7 I* p9 E c. N4 m* U7 p
That's cool;he is cool;this is cool./ f! d; _8 U/ u" o7 X1 o4 W
: F3 l3 I+ o. Y0 u Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
# S- U3 G. i- E+ R! e {. d2 k1 K, U9 Z6 t( c1 k o
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
7 t- W8 m, V$ y% }2 |& g& w6 I+ T$ @( _ m& _
She (He) was cool in the past.
* N2 `& `$ B- t' t+ R
" N0 j- y1 @0 @# z9 {8 | That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)2 T, I2 b0 K6 M" Z" ^ `% i! ]
' x5 n' I# d2 [. c He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)6 ` E7 G& z4 h: C
! V( |- ~5 | g( Y* E' Z
但是如果说:Are you cool?
+ b( ?! G# I8 |/ K
. a, E3 P# Z* u" A, n ?( B; D% I She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not# D; F9 W. u9 T! `' V- ?9 S+ y

2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
7 J) r* S; E5 Q3 _0 h0 X5 K4 r. C4 w7 z, J/ u1 I$ p+ A
They are trippin'. (= tripping)
* m9 c: K% t3 n& K' P+ p9 z; G0 _" _5 A5 s" \0 a* l) q- F2 w

3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。
$ ^3 T1 O! e3 F% p% y
! q4 h# F9 Y% C& Y0 D He used to be a nerd in high school. (过去他在高中时是位书呆子)
: o7 C7 @6 \! m2 l# M3 u

P2 k# P4 K0 `+ D) O
5 M+ s3 d1 f- z2 X" \7 @
+ P# _" Y3 ^1 w2 N; B% p He is a computer geek.
% |! |8 c1 K( y; ~. U# P, ]5 B3 i0 s
I don't like him because he is a jerk.

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:, |+ l& g: Y7 p6 w+ N
5 e/ f& t: e9 A1 R2 G Yo baby, are you trippin'?
$ H; _ b: K: _: r: {! J ^' z* r
诸如:; e& x5 p3 p; e% f' j2 l' _# p
0 O: h! I+ t2 C9 @9 m May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
- `9 ~2 t6 p7 V8 ?" c7 x1 o% N" [5 g3 I9 x# r
同理,如果年轻女子看到帅哥,有吸引力,很想与他交谈,那么就用:“Hey, hey, hey" 後跟任何可以「打开话匣」的句子。诸如:) C) {- g; V5 O; G, x. q) }
$ R8 E& m. h7 A, Z, n
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) j7 q* C9 L/ D% m
e4 }# h2 L. `; ]# j/ L2 d @& O 5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)0 H. y% q* ?/ H
- [" u# T7 j4 h" b% y, T& a' Z 有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
