Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:7 G/ q! w6 E; y% Z5 o8 q
- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
7 y! o7 F. T7 M# {& j. o, }. e, _ o- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.+ g& j; r* @4 O5 q) |% N
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.& J+ T$ m. p; f* L3 F
