We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

; l) @- S" k8 p( D6 ?5 m" n3 W7 WReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

  i$ V# L- n' h) i* Q- Gathering and documenting requirements;

# z0 R. J0 t& j$ h, u. q, T( h- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;
& m% \$ t& t- |" l  N2 x, a
4 R0 U( y: q# s9 f: E$ n- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

+ Y3 u6 B5 v: T, S, h6 P" S: y- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

9 W. z6 U  h% X- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

% W5 F/ e4 ]: S0 \" f( e8 ~- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

; J2 ]) F8 g( R9 y, R% X- `! R- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
