We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

E1 U  t5 v" Y( @; t8 KReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;
  n( H- i3 K( n. Z. Z. F- }) U
- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Q1 k! l7 e! g6 R- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- i5 R$ k; i+ C# f. v- G/ c- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;
' K- V1 Q+ `5 a; |" j( s
- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

5 S' H/ ?3 O3 G  W1 }& _. k0 d( j% ?- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

+ L' [/ O2 R4 T) V# u* s- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;
