We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

: D: i* L$ e/ I# SReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

, |+ s3 V- d1 `. J9 @9 o; ^5 O; w9 o- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

% F, h! |3 t$ K% N) K/ ~6 Q' r2 X- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

8 [& ^2 }) D/ Z* [1 S- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

2 ^- v) k1 r# p$ S" [5 U- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;
