 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
2 `4 N- j3 ?- S Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
/ b; }& i; }+ S7 [ Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
1 p( y1 Q# G9 W! x8 f& t. f Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
) I' d8 h1 E, z! n" K9 u* o Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
/ ]+ ^& T6 p( w" d Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
4 ?" S2 F2 L6 R. L# z7 { Social work degree or diploma
" V4 B( q% C3 v5 \ Current RSW designation preferred   
& Y3 k# Z; N; B2 f- Q6 q Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
) V/ X" ^7 K0 f* D. I$ ` Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
3 F0 x8 ]$ X; S6 y3 R- M Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
3 f" k: C0 m5 `5 q) [7 b4 B$ L. Y) G Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  C( {, J6 b! p! n% B4 s  d6 R" G Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
