 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
8 n6 b' x# \1 r! Q) b* s0 Q% ] Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
& z+ ~5 _. r& e Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
- X) \: p/ ?' u' k! {" x! n9 W Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
& O& d0 j  N2 t" I/ Q8 U Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
) @' n  M9 B$ n+ B4 F Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
