( [+ ~. o& k  Z  n3 g5 N7 n Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
3 N$ s& F; O' F6 y) w0 w$ z. h Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
5 A5 c: n, X- L$ Y' W- u" _2 N Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

- ^4 ]4 C; J9 [/ H3 v7 r* Z Social work degree or diploma
1 Q3 r; v$ f  h) h# j Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
& ~0 t/ K4 Z+ M  O. Q/ e Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
: j& r7 i# |! C' a( w. Q% b' N1 Q) l; x Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
: E  F) a- T+ b' |) ~/ B5 O) e! @ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
$ o2 \% y, p" x, q: } Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
