$ Y! e. p2 l3 Q2 K) W- \. S8 @ Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
6 n5 X0 a; ~1 ~! b3 v Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
' S- s) T- i' R- C- O* J Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
0 R5 Z* E) B9 A- P Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
  h) R/ a7 x: I+ H' R3 q) i- E2 A% p Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
4 [& ?8 G# p' z; Y Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
9 U* B3 u' x* V1 ~ Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
+ `2 q3 \' l! O% \5 ^ Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
) t0 |; g& E- R0 ?8 k Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
) c2 G/ j1 ~0 \* h+ B- R Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
