7 c# o+ r* V7 [" X- v$ ]6 ]Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
/ d: B3 K$ w3 JObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
$ |/ [3 L! W7 E9 Y$ F+ NPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
" d5 _+ i( P5 bOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
8 ~3 S% W( V) P/ P. N# {3 aHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
