Duties
) C: o" K, {% v' G! t/ LDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
$ }) l7 l9 Z* W5 V: l% P* mObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments z5 O' o3 S( K7 j* D& y$ a
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
. x! D5 v/ C9 lPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
+ {4 r- ^7 C: `# `Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Qualifications0 \; ^7 b3 B. O- D& }
Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.

Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification2 W$ w9 T$ c7 `8 o# B7 I
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
