Key Responsibilities & Duties:

2 }- v0 X2 w6 ?+ C& I Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
; B t6 M- s8 I" m7 Y Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
, Q+ z l$ }2 ^* s, F0 B6 c. L Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.) k: t1 _7 E [$ z' v
 Completing required paperwork.8 B# x6 q+ \: x9 W
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.) {$ j. L, Q0 z! R- w8 C
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures." M ?* ]! {3 }; ~' M4 L5 S
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. - T2 b5 }& J" w9 s
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

5 o- v3 A( k! i2 g Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.5 q, m0 R& x! u0 `1 k
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
+ x$ L3 F. V: |8 T# d Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
, j1 ]' k5 y; b0 S6 {. S# u9 }8 S Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.. \5 J, r+ ]: |2 N- W
 Knowledge of community resources.
1 N# S9 ?7 O& M5 q1 M Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.2 ?' v. a7 L3 S5 O( b# A
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. # b! Q1 s; X8 ~* _
% O- Q3 Z& _0 Q/ B4 FPosition:
) P& e' I8 W& B: g0 `1 N0 w9 u: FThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. ! r: t K3 Z8 w/ b( M! L
There is a 3-month probationary period.
