1 P2 w4 k. ~7 O* J Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
# f* _. b6 K" ]2 x4 }& Q5 b1 d4 C5 U Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 V$ r7 m, i7 P" i+ P- l4 k Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
' O! l7 y, b) H3 J Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ T% P  W8 b+ ~- a Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

" E* B9 X1 v4 d. H Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
9 t3 `# s, n) v/ P Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
. [6 }1 B9 A8 z" s+ v8 C! |" {# H Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
  T4 w! j9 o. E& u& v  q! LThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
