3 e ]/ J& C7 O$ f) A* x' I5 v Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.( W. j5 ~" P% t& z
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
! k9 C* G9 ~ t! w1 f Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.# a- a; \: v' n2 t
 Completing required paperwork.
9 ~5 q; n @, [7 L& n/ b Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' ?. r6 R- U1 L* N Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.( |5 B: S m Y) Q9 W7 t
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 3 U6 t, K$ @) r) M t0 ~% r2 d
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.0 Z+ A" i2 R+ X: {4 G* @) C& S
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
$ O8 w- G# K. w3 M Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:+ r) C/ L* q) F, A* {% G ]( Q
0 W9 [# }: c$ U+ ]6 R1 [, |8 [ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
% F' Y. c; r I/ C- i. I1 U) e Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" Q5 t/ T3 h9 ^* u7 Y Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.+ o! u5 a, j9 g5 t* |# g$ R
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ P0 e" g" C) _7 m: N Knowledge of community resources.
( C. n. c* }- h: J" S. } Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
. c; {9 d. i( C8 p: C5 j% Q Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ; _9 `$ p5 y) O3 v1 F, e

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. - B! O; ^; B/ H1 L r$ ^
There is a 3-month probationary period.
