Key Responsibilities & Duties:

* J, }# |9 o5 n: p1 s! Z3 t Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
" Y4 z7 J8 U6 R3 F! F# [9 V Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
0 F8 ]: G0 G! w Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
5 A. R* r9 G$ H3 i( X' b- H: d Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
+ o2 f3 j9 z9 `! l* x/ h: f8 k8 a Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
7 K9 H2 O& ]9 i( M; U7 m Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
& O/ Y5 c. q, O/ z/ Q# ~% @8 \) i Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
, E; ^% C9 M1 ?& h5 ` Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
8 ~, _3 H, C+ S% hThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
' g/ W" \4 x/ H/ O- \There is a 3-month probationary period.
& J& y3 ]4 ?/ y9 a2 Z! AClosing Date: January 31, 2006.
