 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.0 V" P4 m }, `
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* F# V; V' V4 Z! J Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.9 N% g& C( L3 P1 I' j) P/ ~# g8 c
 Completing required paperwork.

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.0 O- p4 B& o9 v' _1 r
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
[# \5 ]; v7 W- V( t' `1 m7 c Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.- E. V! _; A- v# x7 g& i
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.9 ^+ E( c* T5 t; S: Y
 Knowledge of community resources.
' O/ a/ \* E2 [% n+ n& e Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! _' `/ S0 A4 r7 s Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 6 Q7 a: i% A. Q8 S

Position:
2 a& w% o5 n: p' ?' |5 gThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 6 ~! t- i! d6 Q0 R D0 t" _1 U) D+ {" U
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
