Key Responsibilities & Duties:" _4 ^( \+ R* s* ^; P
- W7 y/ n6 F! A Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.4 u# T3 s7 d0 w @: h( ?) n! t
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.7 \( t) ~2 d+ ~' t4 o
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.+ r) R) Z2 M2 R# R; o) c. |- x" V
 Completing required paperwork.
2 y3 U! \- C3 |, n Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
+ F5 n: w1 |8 T/ I/ T Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.- J: p7 m ?! w, d k
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. ( h. p- I, r5 z
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& E8 J. H- n2 z. b7 N9 {6 c8 K Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

- {( B! O: {! |+ B( Q2 e$ D& g& \ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 l2 G3 e& l# F* m* d3 M1 { Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.; {1 Y! `9 J; T! X( I
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.8 C. E2 s1 ]& ^6 O; f3 j
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
g! Z. G6 S$ w" d Knowledge of community resources.7 d; `0 G0 e3 T; C: p# e4 q `% o
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.- X5 a0 Y; o& n6 n
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ; z7 y8 ~0 I9 H

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
