Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- W7 y/ n6 F! A Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
2 y3 U! \- C3 |, n Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
+ F5 n: w1 |8 T/ I/ T Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& E8 J. H- n2 z. b7 N9 {6 c8 K Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
% F  H1 |. `0 w Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

- {( B! O: {! |+ B( Q2 e$ D& g& \ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 l2 G3 e& l# F* m* d3 M1 { Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
  g! Z. G6 S$ w" d Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
7 I2 ?& C- c5 f( p) W, s5 X: fstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
