  L, u" \$ f" ]! d$ l- @ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
) E$ p: O5 \, z( J! ^6 U Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
) h5 ~0 w& E- P6 T# m1 ] Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
5 X$ Y7 [  Y/ r  u5 [7 i Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


* u0 I, }8 E* F& o6 i2 o, |Qualifications:
; ~2 e; N2 o+ O  y( u
3 h: u3 w4 o* \% f$ N- c Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
3 ?  O& e: @1 K) t Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
7 o9 E+ ?3 @* V: f7 z6 Y; `: P Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
% h% `. V' D3 P9 I7 \9 k+ F9 jstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
