 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* F# V; V' V4 Z! J Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
( A) L2 Z7 K. ?, x Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
4 [8 B# B- Q, M, S& M7 }( }( X Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
! p9 N% e2 N- Q; ~# i Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
  [# \5 ]; v7 W- V( t' `1 m7 c Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
' O/ a/ \* E2 [% n+ n& e Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! _' `/ S0 A4 r7 s Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
2 a& w% o5 n: p' ?' |5 gThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
