Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Z! A! h$ J; T. O4 JWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
) ~4 X  f, ~$ n; {$ C% G' q1 S# I" fReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
: H  y  p6 c2 A* g6 f% ]Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
* k4 ]9 A" D! W2 O- ^8 M+ G2 H+ RMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  
# r" H/ ]: F" ^: K+ o1 O) }  m
% u; c; J/ H* j/ AQualifications
: Y* N" p: ]& m& R  v1 e& q! t
4 O. [" @, |( c# Z% n  `0 eGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
% M4 O7 C4 T% ^  z- ?3 I; tMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
6 i0 S& P$ _! |1 R& [; l# o. i7 gMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
+ T7 A; j4 W# _4 |1 _1 `- zUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
$ G7 r, ?- k& N4 fCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
