Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

% c$ q4 p0 {. K$ A+ Q0 s# p8 [: mWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
, Z9 d9 S' h& U: s2 W7 y  kReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
# x; W8 c0 R  Q2 i% H# t' A7 E& u$ nResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Qualifications
8 ~: C& u  }2 t3 @& `$ R
: g9 U7 F+ o6 S) YGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
2 i/ ^) r( _  ~7 ?% u0 zExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
" t4 i* m" e8 E' m# |, CUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
; h3 L' j  M* J+ x2 O& x" RAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
