Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

  }8 l% q- w+ a+ K6 NKey Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
) v' E: x8 _/ o+ h, N) H- eReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
' t2 T! T2 l: n% o# g$ E7 WMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

9 l: I, i, g9 x1 g" j3 A; x. L; Z& ~: f! CQualifications
) w  `1 K: S# y; n8 |  q/ ~
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
! t  L3 b2 L1 l8 k: {Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
# p+ Y& B: ]7 O6 ^% F' uUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
, P. Q* a) T+ s9 {9 @Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
8 g& y& R3 X6 \. }3 RAbility to work independently as well as in a team
