An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

5 Q; q1 L1 C) SMajor Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
0 \7 l$ h9 d  w•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
: V( R7 h3 u6 m3 q•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
# m5 U5 @# H1 M$ W$ T9 z1 m6 Y2 f•        Others.

•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
" U% l2 T% a3 C$ p# J2 C$ t& T3 y•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
* }7 l" C/ Q. a5 l3 v: P( D7 t( x; B•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
- @4 @/ u6 ^- i; `! X, Z•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
