An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
$ M% s$ M+ U. W! r& T•        Process research equipment design;
" H- S- U% i4 h; O' d: E7 \& k/ _•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
# z) L! f. q( s% f2 a•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
- Y, n& d. Y% ?% K5 k5 x•        Others.

2 Q" j2 N; C5 Q3 y' L5 PQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
! B; {- q3 |5 G) w8 C# z4 A( y$ @•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
3 B, f* {  f" [' ?•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

5 w* G/ }! n5 ]0 dSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
