An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
+ `4 u% z! a8 L: ]•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
# t) u: A' D. V, X3 Z•        Others.

Qualifications:
" O' x5 F, H) d: M; k•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
$ N2 d2 N3 J* o) E6 @•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
3 h4 \) H0 G4 t3 [•        Familiar with CAD software;
+ n! u/ [' A9 |' L•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
8 j& ]# G- D4 i: R6 cSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
