FUNCTIONS:

) k0 F2 b0 _$ o* LThe Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.

: y. c' o$ a* R" }. J8 e0 X: V· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops., u2 b$ E6 C- X

· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.

3 P2 d5 f4 U" \8 f· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

' a' A4 A/ W  E. Q6 S· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.% M# W% T" K( r

9 p# X$ m1 W8 _) E* @: d· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.
+ l8 m; W" F  ~" C$ E2 S* ^) f* n# }- G1 W+ a) _
· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.+ ?# S3 y2 o2 a' L0 Q2 P

· Strong technical, communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.

SALARY RANGE:
1 Z) k2 m' J. O3 t0 Q! R! Q: j4 b' x; U5 U& \6 Q6 Q
21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
