"Do you like that?" she asks as she holds up the hottest shape in louboutin this season, the bowling shoe in purple and violet sunray stripes. It gets the nod.

They also agree that shoes and heels will be bought in matching pairs, another strong ladylike trend.

"This isn't shopping, it's business," she says. "They're make-and-break decisions."
