SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
7 @8 b) r2 G, E3 z( s5 _2 _- R0 ]operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
, \% [7 q4 L4 ?+ B" @1 ?customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
0 G  F9 g6 |3 |2 j4 ?8 Rthe Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
- f. S9 u; s, f5 C3 w• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
2 S- b! t. ]2 f, \+ [) |1 y3 L• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
2 Q' B" H  Q. L6 G6 ^& T( m• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
( L/ v- Y5 J( `7 o8 |• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
. w% N: p4 m4 d1 K  B& q, ?3 A• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times

• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager

• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good problem solving skills
5 i0 l# s, Q& E5 `! e) k2 \3 ^• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies

• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
% V; E0 G1 P% r+ m% ~: m• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
6 d7 y* A: D, f• Standing for extended periods of time
• Comfortable climbing ladders
