MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

/ r* b+ Q; P7 VReporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
, w' y. i4 M% q/ P1 b4 R        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
& ~1 P" C$ {0 N; m. p* X% k        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

, `1 _* j9 e, |& n. }9 I# ~, iQUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
( M  Z7 y1 j" p  \4 K8 x•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
+ m, D' Q: O+ L0 o8 `•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
* [4 b! v* k+ }3 w8 f1 ^•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
. R4 D8 r% a; ~2 ^  u6 u•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
7 Y0 M: |8 j- f" j9 M: F, h•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
& N; B% F" l# n, o  e) b•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
- h/ P$ S7 g- e•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
