MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

& e2 ]9 p  v$ |1 p% HKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
7 |9 ]8 R, i  c. i) K9 M$ ]3 D, ~- ~" E        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
. |7 e/ w9 S( v" W& U7 F+ i4 d        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
9 ^6 N7 F; `6 i. }% ?8 L•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
- L" \) w7 X9 q" X•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
. B" @' F7 I$ v•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
