MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

3 r& B( l. ^4 v0 y1 K& d& |KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* s; v* L3 E; G8 `) u% m        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
* A4 c% I4 v- m0 a  q$ v  e: @; K        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
8 h- J+ A/ u6 ~& F+ G        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

1 Q8 l( o. E3 M. sQUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
3 r$ a0 U' _) N, N* F•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
  E* c0 n8 m9 z+ Y5 V) @- U•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
5 i( m* j& A/ |, j5 W- b•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
