Location:         Edmonton
  t0 @2 [* N! p& j+ Q7 X0 W  a; hSalary:         $40,462 - $56,410 per year, depending on education and experience.
Full benefits and pension plan.

Recruit Participants
" j# g! [& m. O) h
-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

Organize Leadership Training Sessions
9 a- V4 L8 K9 y$ z+ n+ l-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
8 w0 L* n6 d% v' ^6 v$ q-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
- v5 g" y; ?8 z1 c! v
Plan and Facilitate identified public events
$ P# [8 x1 P% H- \-        with youth participants

& R: E4 R% q) U0 B' q+ w& ]( N; h3 CMedia coverage
* m8 u- s: N3 }-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
# G# J( Q: f: m-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations
% r2 q4 t3 g/ h4 F" k
Professional Development
) b( B3 j- G2 w/ M-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

Proposal Creation
0 f( p9 Q) `9 X-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
9 V/ e3 ~# J! w/ p, D-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

Project Evaluation
: c* }4 f3 m6 ]-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

0 X# _& A% O4 `& t6 K-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
- ?! c& ?1 o  H-        experience with project coordination
  M5 _' y+ U$ V! V$ i9 P! V0 @  o* R9 V-        degree or diploma in human services field
-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
